• Sick of my ****ing parents!

But I can't afford to move out. $7 an hour and barely 20 hours a week isn't enough but I'm so sick of them. They basically tell me what I can and can't spend my money on. They keep telling me stuff to do to my car. Why can't they just ****ing leave me be with my ****ing car. The tires are bald so I get tires (they bought em, I paid them back). It's loud so they say make it quiet. They hear 2.5" flowmaster and say get that. I dont really want 2.5" flowmaster. I offer, what about a borla muffler on the end (not the bullet, the actual muffler). They say no. I have a slight oil leak (about on drop a day) and it doesn't even get on the driveway because I put stuff under the car once I park. They tell me before I do anything else I have to get that fixed. What the ****, stop telling me what to do with my hard earned ****ing money! I hate this **** so bad. I've been busting my *** lately to do whatever I can to get money for the car and they just shut me down and tell me what to do with it. AHHHHH!!!! [/rant]

Save up and move out... I know it sucks but its doable I know people making less then you living on their own.

You can always look at the bright side, if you have some ****y medical problems, ****ty health insurance, I lerned to be very very very thankful f my parents for helping me out with money. **** 3 days ago I was about ready to go sell off the camaro to pay medical bills. And I still would have been in debt. But my parents are bailing me out.

sounds like they are just trying to get you to not piss away your money on your car, especially if you're only making that much money. Trust me, they know best. you should save money for when you need it and not throw it away as soon as you get it.

First off you have to calm down, because its not that bad. Allot of parents wouldnt have helped you to get that car, or those tires. I know its hard because they dont understand, I didnt have that particular problem because my parents met at a 69 camaro car club hehe. But I had my own set.

Sounds like they might have some issues with the car, but as long as you live under their roof, you have to respect their wishes. Because lets face it, without them you wouldnt even be able to think about modding that car. I moved out recently and had to wait nearly a year and a half before I could afford new tires/suspension (and thats from a damn tax return hehe)

So, research your mods. Put allot of thought into it because its easy to do something wrong if u dont plan it right, and thats just a waste of $$$ if you have the money for the mods, perhaps something less visible than an exhaust... Is the car in their name? (kinda sounds why they might be trippen)

Maybe they want you to have a car that runs before a car that's fast and/or furious?

Cut them some slack, save your money and things will be ok.

I know I was just pissed off, I'm better now. I just hate that they don't trust me to do what's right with my money. I know the oil leak needs to be fixed. I know I needed tires and I thank them for helping me get them. They didn't help me get the car though :-p I hate that they want the exhaust quieter but I'm trying get get them to give me some slack on that.

sorry to assume on the car thing, my parents didnt help me get my car (wel with money at least) they did help me at the dealership tho, and for that I am thankful.

My parents worried about the neighbors with the exhaust job on my car. But now I run it open cutout hehe. Then again I am 800 miles from home =/

(money will always be an issue with them, im 22 and my dad gave me a speech when I told him I was thinking of getting a solstice...He still wont accept it..he was pissed when I got my motorcycle too)

7*20*52 = $7280 per year. Social Secuirty + Medicare only and NO federal income tax = $6723 per year.

How much do you pay for rent?
How much do you pay for food?
Are you paying entirely for your education at UCF?
How much are you paying for your health insurance?
I would guess you pay 100% of gas and car insurance, clothing and other basic essentials.

$6723 is not enough to pay for rent, food, eduction, health insurance, gas, car insurance, clothing and other essentials plus the car itself + mods. I'm sure the ****ing parents must be contributing somehow, perhaps by contributing food, a place to stay, health insurance, education, etc.

Having said all of that, you sound like you are a hard working young man who was a bit fed up at not being able to make enough of your own choices and simply wanted to vent a little.

Hang in there.

Move on campus, get student loans. They are your friend.

I'm moving on campus next year, stafford loans are paying for the majority of my housing costs, i'll cover the rest.

But I have FL-prepaid college and bright futures to cover tuition.

why get student loans and have to spend forever paying them back, when you could bite your lip and put of w/ the 'rents for a few more years and come out of it not in debt?
