So I would imagine a camaro or firebird would be easier.

          Hell, I currently am on a forum for sportbikes because I am in the search of of my first motorcycle. Guys on there don't treat me like an idiot. It all depends on the group of guys. Honestly, I never dog someone for their ride unless they are truely an asshat. Otherwise, we're all the same... We're all trying to get the most out of our cars, trucks, or bikes. *shrug*

          Besides, with a V6 F-Body, yeah, you do get some ****. Thats how it goes, expect it. I always agreed with 'em, "Yeah, its a turd. Want to race? You'll have to set me out a car or two though, you know, because its so slow, right?" --- Then I showed 'em my tails the rest of the way

            but making a civic run 14's isn't that hard.
            Yeah it's real easy... Just pop in a k&n in that civic and your ready for 14s.

            I think z28 owners are just mad because there's not enough distinction between them and the v6 and they have to emphasize that there's this huge gap between the two themselves.

            Ohh and I would recommend the Yamaha R6 if you're looking for a sportbike. I have one, it's great. I know a z28 will kill my car, but I also know I have something that will make them look like they're standing still.

              </font>
I don't want to start an argument, but I sense your sarcasm. I know its not simple as slapping in a k&n filter, but think about it. The H22 engine plus cold air intake, plus 2.5 catback exhaust with high flow cat you are decent. Then add Nitrous or turbo. There are so many aftermarket performance parts for that car its not funny. And not to mention since civics are the most popular car for the import scene, the parts are relatively inexpensive compared to other cars.

                The cai and catback exhaust won't give you much hp by themselves. A full exhaust with headers might give you some decent gains. If you're going n/a on say the 1.6, it's going to be very hard to get some decent hp and still keep the torque up. You don't exactly have a lot of headroom there, high rpm, low torque motors are not going to respond well to cutting down intake or exhaust restriction.

                Well yeah if you use nitrous then you will see huge gains, but you can say that about pretty much any car. I wouldn't consider installing a turbo as easy, but hey that's just me. I'm not saying that honda engines are bad tuners, because they handle boost very well and they're reliable, just that a catback and an intake won't get you them running 14s.

                  Right, adding a cai, and catback alone won't get you running into 14's. I was just saying that it's not that hard. J.Henley made the comment that he would be happy with 13's, or he would be happy with a civic that ran 15-14's. I was trying to say that if you could make a civic run 14's, then making a f-body run 13's should be easier. Now I don't exactly know the cost of making a f-body run 13's but being that the engine is bigger than anything you can fit in a civic (hp and torque) you have a head start.

                          reminds me of back in the day when I had my lowly stock T/A....... I was always being challanged by those w/tunnel rams, s/c mustards, whatever to race. I would always accept and say "Sure I'll race, farthest on one tank of gas". No one ever raced me.

                          You can win any race, as long as you dictate what kind of race it will be ;)

                              the weak points, get pricey as hell to fix... Believe me I know. I have spent like $1k in repairs in the last 6 months. Goint the cheap route and repairing it myself.
