A little old, but...
The recent "runaway bride" adventure reminded me of the Derailers' song, "There Goes the Bride." Now I've just got to figure out where the CD is. I'll try to come up with the lyrics from memory - hope I get it right.
Our wedding day was nothing short of perfect,
Everything so beautifully arranged.
Then out of the blue,
Right before we said "I do"
She turned and ran like she had gone insane.
There goes the bride,
You can kiss that girl goodbye.
I guess she really takes the cake this time.
I need to find a hole where I can crawl inside.
Here comes my heartache,
There goes the bride.
She left me standing there at the altar,
I was embarrassed and confused.
What could I have done to make that little girl run,
Like someone had set fire to her shoes.
