We had our first official South Padre Island stampede yesterday. It consisted of the South Texas Mustang Club and the South Texas F-bodies. For the first time ever, we united and had a successful cuise to the beach. I think the unofficial count was 50-60 stangs and 55 F-bodies.
You should have posted something up in the Sick Sixx forum... we might have gathered a few people and cruised down. Looks like it was fun.
Yeah thats Tim...he's one of my best friends. We've been working on that car for only about a year now and it has almost every bolt on imaginable. Internal work includes a 224*/224* cam, and MTI Stage II R heads, all valvetrain is upgraded, 12 bolt rear, 4.10 gears, spec III clutch, and slicks/skinnies. Havent ran it yet, but we're aiming for low 11's on motor.

it was as organized as possible. We never switched lanes and no one went above 55 mph. It went perfectly except for the rainstorm on the way.
The ride back, well....lets just say we got back pretty quick lol. Imagine 50+ stangs and 50+ f-bodies on the expressway trying to get to the front.
