Anyone else experiencing this crazy weather? I had to be to work extra early this morning ( I work for the power company ) because of the high wind advisory. I was outside at 6 am, and it was 57 degrees, and very calm. By 10 am, it dropped to 30 degrees and is expected to drop to 17 degrees after noon. The wind is averaging 30 mph and is gradually speeding up with gusts up to 70 mph. A huge thunderstorm and pouring rain just swept through and had snow at the end of it. We saw it comming but it just hit like a ton of bricks.
I heard this weird weather is occuring across the country...

Minus the temperature drop, sounds like a normal day in florida
I live in a state where i can be sunny one minute, and the next massive thunderstorm, and 5 minutes later sunny again.

just gong to say the same thing... anyone watch the twin 150s at daytona, they had a small delay because it was only raining in one corner of the track at one point
I will admit it is a little colder then normal, I just had the most Ice I have ever had on any car I have owned the other day.

I wouldn't go and say this is typical, at least not for this area anyway. News stations are having a field day with this lableing it "WEIRD WEATHER" haha. Thunder storms just don't happen here in the winter.
I just looked outside and theres a few trees uprooted in our parking lot, outages are hugely wide spread, a tree fell on our boat at home, ughhh, Im going to be here all friggin night :( .
Friggin' windy. This morning, while driving to school, I had to crank the wheel a few times to stay on the road. My Cutlass is like a moving house. And when I left early today, I opened the door at school and it flung open, while my hat flew off my head. These are not light doors either...

Try driving to work in 120+ MPH sustained winds and get back to me on wind

The only difference is that not everyone here is running out stocking up on water and supplies swearing the world is ending and were all gonna die. :D
same here.... yesterday it rained soo hard, thunderstormed for a good portion of the day... then there were tornado warnings because multiple people spotted funnle clouds..
then after dark., temperature dropped to the single digits and all the rain froze causing a sh!t load of ice and strong winds 30+ and it snowed after that.
I wouldn't go and say this is typical, at least not for this area anyway.. </font>
Yes, bad choice of words I suppose. Not exactly typical...showing the same characteristics to a greater degree than normal.
Yeah, we got hit with the crappy weather up here too. Sunday it was 10 celcius outside (50 F), Driving around with the windows down. Tuesday it dropped down to -5 celcius (23 F), still drving with the windows down.
Wednesday it was still around -5C (23F). Walked outside on thursday and it was -30C (-22F) and with the high wind it was supposed to have felt like -45C (-50F).
The retarded thing is, Sunday it is supposed to be back up to 5C (40F)
