Got another ticket..

Okay, so this is ticket number two. 56 in a 40. Only i know i wasnt going 56, it was closer to 45. I was accelerating really hard from the stop light and the cop was comming the other direction and he immediatly turned around and threw the lights. I'm so pissed, there is no way i was going that fast. I think he added some speed onto it bc he knew he could get away with it, theres no point in me fighting that i was goin 45 is there? Thats still speeding right? So anyway, can police raydar mess up or not? Do i have any chance of getting out of this?
The cop was such an ******* anyway. My insurance was out of date by 2 days and now i have to go to court. He had me sign the thing saying i would show up and now i just rememberd that i am going to be in colorado? So does that mean i have to come home or can the dates be changed? Damn that cop was an *******. I cant even tell my parents yet bc tomorrows mothers day and i know shes going to be PISSED. My last ticket was on new years, so like five months ago in a diff county. Can i still
pay double to get it off my record or not?

Bah, any advice would be appreciated.

Take it to court, maybe the officer wont show.

you can call a lawyer and have him get an extension. its common traffic court practice. just pay the fine and be done with it.

^^^ Yep. I don't see why the cop would find it fun to lie about your speed, unless you were a complete *** to him and driving like a douche. So unless you were, either it's just spedo lag, you read the spedo wrong, or the cops radar is way off (Not likely). I'm not bashing you at all, believe me, I've had my fair share of tickets. Some cops are just dickheads, but even if they are I highly doubt they'd lie about the speed. Just drive more carefully, and learn from it like mike said.

Yeah thats pretty much what i figured.. Does 6 months cout by like months or days?

I got my last ticket on new years. it was still december though (11:55). This one was friday. I dont know how this works really. I paid double to get the last one off my record to. And it was in a diff place. So i can still pay double and get if off so it wont affect my insurance right?

Sorry for the dumb questions, im not telling my parents till tomorrow and i have no clue how this really works.

though, do you think i would be able to get this off my record and get the date extended and so forth without letting my parents find out. I'm only 17 and i really have no clue what to do.

hell, get a lawyer and use speedo lag as an execuse. if that is a real thing. I never heard of it.

speedo lag would not be an excuse, its when your speedo doesnt accelerate as fast as the car, so in this instance his speedo would have said 45 for example and his real speed was 56.

Cam i'm only 17 and i got a ticket for 120 in a 65... but i couldve gotten a lot more like evading and misuse of power and wreckless op.. i talked the cop into just giving me the 120.... i get my liscence back tomorrow!

Also, do you guys think i could find a lawyer on my own and change the court date, go show my insurance thing and pay double and get that **** off my record? I have to have a lawyer to get it off my record right? I dont wanna tell my parents lol.

That would make it 6 diff months but not 6 full months. I dont know the rules on that.
