ok you guys ready for this on. i was driving home from maryland back to philly, cause i met up with Alt space n(mike) to make a little camaro video of my girl! so anyway on the way home it was like 11:30 ish, and i hear this crash and look in my mirror and i see all these sparks. so i pulled over from doing 65 mph(the speed limit) and walked behind my car to see what happened. i was sh!tting myself cause cars were going by doing like 90mph. so i see that my exhaust was hanging on by one rubber hanger on the driver side. and right were the exhaust goes over the axel had came out.(must have busted a connector) so i got under my car on I-95 with the cars wising by me and had to pull the rest of my exhaust down and throw it in the back of my car. and drive 100 mile back to philly with no muffler. granded going about 65-70 mph the car sounded the same since it's very loud anyway. but when i got back to stop lights closer to my house it was sooooo crazy. i think that i set off every single car alarm in philly. the muffler is still off the car so i'm going to get a sound bit for you guys. heeh. and i will post the vidio of my camaro later.

pfft... I have driven open y-pipe for like 2-3 months on my 3.4L and maybe month or so in my 3.8L.

I lost a muffler on my 3.4L once, I used to run with one on my y-pipe, and I was runing the car hard, and took a corner really hard on an road with a angle, and the the muffler bottomed out, car got twice as loud looked behind me and saw it flying down across the roade hit the curb and go into the ditch.

ohh well it was a $19.99 muffler anyways

I ripped mine off of my '89 because it was barely hanging on by a rusty hanger. Drove it that way till the day I traded it in

I haven't revved it yet, but the initial starting of the car is very fing loud. When I first started the car I though for a second that I hadn't tightened everything down and I blew a bolt.

                  Sorry for jacking the thread.

Sounds like taping that video broke your car. I got the video hosted for you too. I'll cut another version of it with titles and such and send it to you, Kristen sometime this week. As for the video link http://www.gbklyn.com/KristenCamaro.wmv almost 14 megs but its on a decent server so give it a download.
