• I'm curious, do you ever feel this way?

Do you ever feel like you aren't meeting your own standards? Do you ever feel dissatisfied with the way things are in your life?

  • #2
Yes, there's many times where I think I should be doing so much better than I am. I try not to dwell on it. I hope that as long as I keep taking steps forward and not just cruise or take steps back, I will get where I wanna be.

I think it's a good feelin to keep motived and driven. Feeling that way will help you improve....hopefully

With high expectations, I usually end up with a low serenity level.

If I set my goals too high, I feel inadequate.

If I do not have any goals, I have no direction in life.

Somewhere in between the two extremes, I can find a comfort level that allows me to live comfortably in my own skin.

Definitely, I've got some dead time where i need to work before i start college, and it's just like, wasting my life. I feel 100% aimless (but I do have an aimEE so she occupies my time )

i feel this way a lot. I take a look at the majority of people my age, going to college, learning to advance to a career and all that good stuff. And here i am, living on my own with my bf, working 60 hours a week selling cars, with no time to even breath. It sucks so bad sometimes, that i just wanna lock myself in a room for the day. But then i realize that through my life, i've never let myself fail, it is NOT an option. It gives me motivation to prove myself. Not to the world, though that's a great feeling, but to myself. If you prove to yourself you can make it, you will. Because self fullfillment and being happy with yourself set the walkway to being happy with life, and the things god throws at you. Stand up, be strong, and catch what is thrown at you. Don't dodge it cuz there's always more where that came from, and the more balls you catch, the less there will be coming from the other side, and the less likely you are able to get out.

(worlds smallest violin playing for you)

When I was 2 years old, I woke up and said to my mom, "I am gonna be a fighter pilot."

19 years later, I wake up everyday and say, "I am gonna be a mother&*$&#@ F/A-18 pilot, biotch!

I am a senior in college, I am about to take a commision in the marines, and I just got my eyes laser corrected to 20/15. I have a CFII liscence from the FAA with 250 flight hours.

I do not feel dissatisfied with my life in the least. I couldn't be more pleased with the way everything is working out. I owe it all to the fact that I refused to give up on a stupid childhood fantasy.

(if your life sucks, then change it. It's just that simple.)

Every day of my life for the past 2 years!!

But I can tell you that things are looking up for me and my business so it does not last forever. Things happen in there own time. You can push and scream all you want but sometimes all it takes is time.

                              </font>
Incorrect. The Navy and Marine corps are currently accepting pilots with PRK surgery. They only turn away LASIK. I can send you a copy of my contract if you so desire.

The LASIK surgery weakens the eye because they cut a flap open on the cornea and lase the innyrds of the eye. That flap is the weak part that tears under G loads.

PRK is way more durable, but hurts more to get it done.
