(worlds smallest violin playing for you)
When I was 2 years old, I woke up and said to my mom, "I am gonna be a fighter pilot."
19 years later, I wake up everyday and say, "I am gonna be a mother&*$&#@ F/A-18 pilot, biotch!
I am a senior in college, I am about to commision in the marines, and I just got my eyes laser corrected to 20/15. I have a CFII liscence from the FAA with 250 flight hours.
I do not feel dissatisfied with my life in the least. I couldn't be more pleased with the way everything is working out. I owe it all to the fact that I refused to give up on a stupid childhood fantasy.

also th AF will NOT let you in if you have had the done to your eyes, once your in the will pay for it though.
maybe the M's are diff but i seen 15 people get turned down in the MEPS b/c they had there eyes corrected. all services too </font>
Incorrect. The Navy and Marine corps are currently accepting pilots with PRK surgery. They only turn away LASIK. I can send you a copy of my contract if you so desire.
The LASIK surgery weakens the eye because they cut a flap open on the cornea and lase the innyrds of the eye. That flap is the weak part that tears under G loads.
PRK is way more durable, but hurts more to get it done. </font>
i wasn't flaming and it was 2 years ago i see that but the AF is still leary of it and stuff, lol
