My daughter is growing up way too fast

She just turned 10 this past June and she wanted to start cheerleading for the local kids youth football team. So I signed her up, paid $100 and they got their first pictures last Saturday.
As soon as I looked at the picture, my eyes started wattering up and tears started running down my eye. She is only 10 and she looks so grown up. It feels just like yeaterday I was sending her off to kindergarden. She is going into the 5th grade this year and it wont be long before I will need to get the shotgun out and start "interviewing" potential boyfriends.
That's it, no dating until she is 25!!!

I know just what you mean. My little girl is only 2 and i'm already getting the guns ready. I tell you, all girl have that look that melts a dad heart and we are helpless. Problem is boys are also pulled into the look and thats were the guns come in. I can see the day my little girl tunr 18 and wants to move out. I know I will be worried every day when she does. I'm going to go cry now :(

Man this is getting hard for me, and i'm trying to make light of it... but my bf and i were talking the other night about our future and what we both wanted... and he told me he doesn't ever want a baby. He already has one son but was never really a big part of his life. But the biggest stab is, i was in the hospital last week for some female issues and my doctor told me the other day, that i would have to have surgery and make a decision between now and then if i want to have a child in my life. I can live a few years with my illness and it will be painful... but i always said i would never have children, and now that i think about it i want to have at least one. But he doesn't. That's a hard thing to face. :(

You want kids. No doubt you want a man who will be true as well.

there was... but love is terrible. And i hate it. I hate love so much it hurts. I have never been treated right in my life. But, he's got one more chance, and he knows what he loses if he loses me. Not only respect from his family, but my family and all of our friends. I've put my foot down, and i will never ever ever date again if he messes up.

I can't take emotional pain, there are things i want and need in life right now actually. I am not a kid, i haven't been a kid since i was 12 years old and my innocence was taken away from me.

If i could ever find a man strong enough to handle me, then i would probably marry him. But if this relationship fails, i'm done. No man would be worth my time then.
