The way it works is that you signup using the 1st link in the post (shown below). Then you post your link and the link u used and your link will be put on the list too. Once the person in spot #1 has 8 referrals, they get taken off the list and the person in spot #2 gets moved up.

did you read all the terms and conditions page from top to bottom. I'm sure they put in a loophole in there some where so I don't really have to give you anything. They are just getting free person to person advertisement from you and the other people that try to get "free" tv

I read the ToS, and it didn't sound like ther was a loophole anywhere.

It does work, but because it is a pyramid scheme.

When you sign up, you need to undertake some "offer" like sign up for a credit card or something. The company gets a cut or fee from the "offer". You need lots of people to sign up so their "offers" pay for your free item.

Classic Ponzi, except there's a middleman who takes a cut instead of you sending your dollar directly to the guy at the top of the list. And it will reach the same end as a Ponzi, with an exponential number of people at the bottom rungs who paid their "offer" price and will get nothing in return.
