At least it never had 4 doors!
There is fast, too fast, and way too fast. Way too fast is almost fast enough.

Should be interesting to see which year is worth more 30 years down the road. 04 was the only year for that body style and drivetrain, but it was also less desirable (atleast it seems that way judging by the used market). 05 was the first year of the ls2 and different body and had smaller production numbers. 06 will probably sell pretty well and there will be more that are kept mint because people know the car is dying off. Then you have to throw in colors and how many are wrecked.

I hope a new and improved GTO comes out in a few years because I want an 05/06 and I don't want to sell my first born for it.

I hope the Bird comes back and Im pretty sure it will. Now that Pontiac has come out with the Persuit (Cobalt), I have hope that when the new camaro comes out, the Bird will rise up from the ashes once again.

I hope "Pontiac Excitement" unleashes a resdesigned & restyled 'Banshee' after this. GM is full of surprises lately lol.

This is the 1989 model by Revell. http://www.showrods.com/showrod_page...c_banshee.html I'm sure the next Pontiac musclecar will take cues from the Camaro concept and turn it into something beautiful.

Can't wait for the new Firebird/Trans AM/Formula/GTA. Bring it on GM!

I doubt the return of a Firebird in the near future, we're lucky to be getting a Camaro.

The GTO needed to be dumped. It never looked quite right, and it's not the best performance bargain on the market, the Mustang GT is. :(

This is just one more sign of GM's sickness. They never did the GTO quite right and its sales reflected that. Hopefully they do it right with the Camaro, I'm thinking it might be the savior of GM.

they brought back the GTO because at the time they couldn't bring back the Camaro. when the new Camaro comes out, it's all over. the new Camaro looks a WHOLE lot better than the new mustang, and it will perform better too. i think the new Camaro will kick ***.

Because the Firebird emblem is a phoenix, which is a bird that rises up out of the flame.

You know there is a talk to bring back the Trans Am, not the Firebird name badge. I just read this in AutoWeek (not current though). If I see the mag. I will post again.
