  • Viper/Z06 for a dialy driver??? possible

    OK,

i just figured out somethings, my car and two other loans i have should be paid off next summer, this is about 525/month

that is about 30,000 car, some used Vipers and Z06's are going for that.

Stefan: before you say anything dont forget the only bills i have that the millitary dont pay for are umm my phone/internet car(and things)
and after the bills i have now i still have 966 month to do what what i want with.

I dunno, a Z06 seems pretty impractical - gas sucker, expensive maintenance, expensive insurance, and not much room other than for yourself and the lucky person in the driver's seat.

    But whatever floats your boat.

you should buy a classic. doesnt have to be original but they are 10 time cooler than either of those cars.
I almost bought a '69 nova before my camaro but I realised I already had a classic to toy with I need something a little better on gas and more reliable as I didnt have all the money in the world(military).

          Z06 looks good!

          Mom's 00 and 98 C5 (obviously non Z06's) freaquently saw 30+ mpg.

She used both as daily drivers.

          Nice amount of room.

          Decently sized trunk

Was good in most conditions, hell, I took it out in the snow to see how bad it would be. Bird was stuck, vette went through it pretty good.

The viper..... much more of a gass guzzler and I've heard a lot of excessive heat for people in the car.

Some guy who looked like Magnum P.I. got on the freeway one day in a pretty new viper (not 2004)... he kept playing around punching it for 3-4 seconds... he'd seriously put at least 400 feet between us like nothing (I know it is at least 400 feet because I was doing 80 and he would be 3-4 seconds in front of me)

house ? is case you missed it THE GOVERMENT PAYS FOR IT well up to like 1200 a month lol

any way i would rather have my toys now, then after i get married i wont have to take anything away from any one. the only thing is my most long term goal yellow with black stripes TT Viper

for now it think the Z06 is better because it i like the HUD, and its got alot more comfort features, just not the looks :(

yeah and you guys failed to mention that a viper usually only lasts around 35k miles, ive seen older 93-99s with like 50-60k miles but they all have new engines and transmissions and basically every part replaced. If you drive a viper every day then get ready for 1-5k in repairs at any given time. Z06 is as practical as a C5, which varies upon who owned it. I cant believe youd buy a car jsut for hud, but whatever. I guess i just get into cars too much. 30k id drive a new bmw 3 series, lexus Is300 or caddy cts, which im gonna buy one of before the year is up.
