hey just curious what kind of Cell Service Providers all you use?
I was also curious about everyone from florida, what works well and what doesnt.. i am moving to florida the end of april, to orlando and i am switching cell service providers from nextel to verizon... and wanted to make sure it works good there?
i have verizon. by far the best serive i have ever had. i wouldn't change it for anything. most of the time when people can't get service they come to me to use my phone cause there isn't a single place i have found yet where it's blacked out
I have Sprint. I get better signal than anyone around here. Stupid people thought Cingular would be absolutely amazing because of their new network... I still get better signal almost everywhere in Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama. Their phones just aren't as... stylish... but I still manage to get phones that everyone likes (hardly my purpose, though... it stays in my pocket most of the time).
Nextel seems to be in their own league with their phones,.. i love most of the phones they come out with, but when i went to verizon and cingular, there were very few phones i liked.. they all look like "toys" i guess...
but the Razr v3c.. the graphite colored phone is probably what i will get..
I have heard over and over about how much people hate that phone, and just as many people say how much they love it..
so i will find out.

Since I'm in BFE and travel to much deeper parts of BFE I find that my phone works more often than other companies.

Same with me as well. I have had Verizon for well over a year, and have never had a problem with it. I had T-mobile before that, never could get great reception inside buildings or out in the country. Just don't have that problem with Verizon.
Only problem I have had is with the phone. I got the cheapest phone Verizon had to offer at the time, which worked great when I got it, now it is having trouble holding a charge and the reception goes out on occaision. Thinking about a Razr v3 or a 700w though.

I won't let go of my AT&T plan until they force me to. I ordered a new RAZR from their business division in December for $99 with no contract extension anyways, so I'm set for a while. The corporate discount is better on AT&T too. (You get it if you're a college student at most schools) It's like $70 a month before taxes for four phones and 900 minutes.
I had Verizon for nine months before I paid $175 to get out early (giving up the 20% Circuit City employee discount I had just added for full price AT&T service at the time). I couldn't call AT&T customers almost all the time for like a month, and got lied to by clueless reps constantly. I got promises that it would be fixed within 24 hours, they called and said it was fixed and told me what the problem was and when I called back was told I had never been told that, I got a call offering a service credit that I didn't ask for and when I called to ask why it wasn't on there I was accused of lying to get free service, they used my number to make test calls to my friends and hung up without talking then told me that they didn't do that and later that they did, and so on.
And that's about a tenth of what really went on.

From what I understand about cell phone networks 1900 Mhz doesn't travel through walls well, and T-Mobile is exclusively 1900 in the United States. Cingular uses the same technology, but it's 850/1900 Mhz so it covers a wider area using the different frequencies.
I have Altell, and haven't had any coverage problems.
I heard verizon is suppose to be pretty good to.
