and I was wonderign how the connection stood up to others that have it. I remember a few months ago people were posting links to sites that test the connection. got any links for me? whats considered a good speed?

why is my download seed so much slower? I know on dial up it was faster if I remember correctly I am not really up to trying to "tweak" anything tonight. and the install guys will be back friday to put the router in for the other puter so I will ask them when they get here I guess

Your cable company should have an advertised speed, usually cable is about 3Mbit down.. you have something funny going on there. With basic cable internet, your upload is NEVER faster than your download... uploading costs them a lot more money [img]tongue.gif[/img]
uhh if your gett'n more upload than download... lol i dont know what to say.. you dont use upload nearly as much.. only for echo requests when look'n for websites and whatnot.
i would call the ISP and let them know they have your bandwidth screwed up.. what do you have ADSL?
