I bought a new chip, upgraded from a 1700+ to a 3000+
when I put in the 3000, it won't boot when I up the clock to 166
The 1700 was running at 133, and this 3000 will run at 166, but when I up it to 166 it recognizes that it is a 2000+ but it hangs on the screen where it identifies the devices and won't boot to windows or from a CD-ROM.
I know my motherboard supports this chip, so does anybody else know what it could be?
I tried resetting the BIOS already too... no luck.
