it's good to hear different points of views. They're absolutely right about the shoddy interior and outdated suspension. U.S. cars never match up to their european counterparts on interior fit and finish.
(not that i wouldn't trade 1.5 of my nuts for a C6...)

I think that top gear thing bashes every car they drive
I have a video of them testing a pumba or something
he mocked it the whole way, then at the end the cameraman said something like so you won't be taking this car home?
the guy said yeah right or something and jumped in and took off

I don't think they're right about any of that. Most people are saying this is the most amazing work GM has done. and how is a brand new magnetic selected ride control out dated?
Having seen the interior of the C6, I can say that it's a huge step upmarket for GM. I don't think that anyone can say that it's low-quality. The Europeans especially have no room to talk, as BMW and Benz have taken HUGE hits recently in initial quality.
hmm. Why do they hate our cars so? Did anyone else think the race they did was a little stacked? He even admitted to too much tire spin. "Brits!!! Oh, dear, they win." And what was up with them calling us their colony? One last thing. Leaf springs?
They didnt mention that it can go over 180mph in stock trim did they?
Limeys.

This has hit most forums. How can a 290hp NSX beat a 400hp LS2 when it cant even beat a 350hp LS1. They cant drive, they're idiots and of course hate the Vette. Leaf springs are still good for 1g on the skidpad like the z06.
Its a sad, sad review by idiots. Little pansy kid driving it has trouble shifting, what a woman. They forgot its extremely cheap in price for such a big performer.
I think they definitely failed to stress the price margin very much. You've got a $50k car keeping pretty dang on close to $90-100k cars. Wonder how they'll review the new Z06 when it comes out...

Top Gear reviews the world's finest automobiles. Regardless of price, the Corvette and the Viper are the best examples the U.S. has. These two pale in comparison to Europe's finest: McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus, Aston Martin...
Corvette having a chance in the ring of the world's best cars? YEAH RIGHT!!! Pathetic. The Corvette is a nice car for most people but it is by no means world class, and it has NO chance against foreign competitors. Don't bring price into it, because that just means Americans are cheap. America is the richest country on Earth... far richer per capita than Italy or Germany. Yet Italy and Germany dominate the world's supercar market. Why is that? Because Americans don't appreciate true automotive art. There is no demand here for an automobile any better than the Corvette or the Viper.
The Corvette is a nice car, no doubt... but it doesn't hold a candle to foreign competitors. Get over it.
I'll take a Lamborghini or a Ferrari over a Corvette anyday.
If you factor in price and performace the Vette is a way better choice...unless you're a millionaire I suppose...Also I bet the Vette gets way better gas mileage than any of those European supercars and sports cars. And who gives a **** if the shifter on the vette is a little harder to shift than a Euro car and who cares if the ride is a tad bumpier than the euro's.....the damn vette will keep right up with almost all of it's euro counterparts....fit and finish..bah..who gives a **** about that when you are driving a car that fast..I'm thinking about going to some backroads and letting her rip..not sitting in the garage admiring my pansy light shifter and "fit and finish" like all the Japanese and Euro's care about so much like the pansies they are ..lol
PS>...I just watched the video again and it got me to thinking..they keep braggin about their European overpriced sports cars and say more than onec that America only has the Vette and the Viper in the same league as their cars....Ehem...something called the FORD GT just came out and it's pretty quick If I'm not mistaking...lol I'd like to seee where that thing places on their little scoreboard. :D

Read my previous post. Price means nothing when comparing supercars.

And the Honda Civic gets better mileage than the F-Body. Therefore it is superior?

Um, what? Corvette keeping up with Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, or McLaren?

Fit and finish is important... the Viper and the Corvette feel like cheap plastic pieces of ****. Ever sat in a Lamborghini, let alone driven one? And I'm sure Europeans are pansies for liking their V12's.

Um, you're mistaken. The Ford GT is a pathetic imitation of a supercar. No chance.
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
