Sweden kicks America's *** for the title of world's fastest cars

Volvo and Saab are not the only cars produced in Sweden. ;) Hate to say it Yanks, but the "land of cars" has gotten their asses handed to them on this one.

Why are the Ford GT, the Corvette Z06, and the Viper the best cars this country can produce? Why can America, the land of automobiles, not hold a candle in the supercar market? The United States is the richest country in the world... yet Americans desire a decently-fast car cheap rather than spending real money on a true work of art. No appreciation of true art. All that sells here is a primitive but large engine on four wheels. Go figure.

There's a supercar market?

How can you compare the Ford GT, Viper, Z06 to a one million dollar car? Every single one of these are 1/10 or less the price of a "supercar". And not to mention, there actually is a market to sell more than 10 cars a year with those three makes.

The road performances are impressing with the mating of strong engine and small unloaded weight of 1.000 kg. Degrees times 3.5 seconds offense according to manufacturer with the Sprint of 0 on speed 100. To the comparison: A Ferrari Enzo Ferrari needs 3.7 seconds.

Hey Stefan, what about the Saleen supercar? 0ne of the world's quickest-accelerating production vehicles, top speed over 200mph, and better-looking than any Lamborghini. And it's no concept. I think that Big 3 companies don't make a supercar because, for the most part, it's simply not profitable for them to do so. It would cost much more to design and build a proper supercar than they'd ever make by selling the 100-500 per year that most supercars sell. I think that the biggest hurdle to a Big-3 supercar is one of branding. Would you spend $200,000 on a Chevrolet or a Chrysler?

On the subject of the Koenigsegg... DAMN. They never mention a price, though, or say whether it'll be full production. I can tell you this much: I'd rather have that than any Italian car. Congrats to the Swedes for doing it right.
