  • anyone using peltier plates to cool their pc?

I was talking to a guy about watercooling my new setup and he mentioned using peltier plates. I don't know much about them but I konw a little. I konw they can get very cold. he said the only problem would be keeping condensation off the coponents and the board. anyone ever do this or konw someone that has?

you have to buy a really expensive one for it to work properly and safely, not worth it in my opinion.

it's what the oc'rs would use back in the day, before liquid cooling became available. The one that I saw a review on, worked great. Since you said you know how they work, I won't go into it. What you have to do is usually remove your processor, and attach a pad to both sides of the mobo, directly under the processor to catch any moisture that it may create. I'll find the review and update my post with the link to it when I do

or get original and build a air tight case, then suck all the air out. run into problems running all the wires but I am sure someone has done it.

It is winter; you are in a cold area - open a window.
