Besides the ram air hood, whats the difference between a '98 and up T/A and WS6?

I think WS6 is a suspension package.

ws6 is a performance and handling package. i beleive that they come with all of the 1le stuff and then they have the improved intake. I think they also got an upgraded differential as well.

i know auto ws6s exist, and i've NEVER seen one with a hardtop.

The info is discussing the 1LE package, NOT the WS6 package. The 1LE package IS VERY rare.

friend I have has a 2002 WS6 M6 Convertible.

I talked to a guy with one also, 6-speed and he had 3.42's also.

All Trans Ams came with T-Tops. So a T/A WS6 has T-tops. Only the Formulas could be ordered with a hardtop.

All WS6 Formula 1LE cars were hardtop cars. In 1998, there were 14 1LE WS6 Formulas. In 1999, there were 20 1LE WS6 Formulas. For my 1998 & 1999, all Firebirds (non-T/A) and Formulas were available as hardtop cars.

3.42s are standard in any T56 6-speed. The A4s you could get 2.73s or an optional performance 3.23s. But in all SS and WS6s, they were 3.23s. My base '98z28 is 2.73s :(
