saw the dumbest thing on "High-Speed Police Chases"

i was just watching this on Spike TV. a cop in Texas pulls up behind a 1st gen Eclipse GS with a fart can at a light. it has no rear liscence plate. the cop blips the siren, to let the driver know to pull over, and the guy takes off. the narrator says something like "this high performance sports car is flying up the highway!" the cop was having no trouble keeping up. the narrator then goes "the turbocharged sports car begins weaving expertly through traffic." I was like "#1, it's not turbocharged OR high-performance. it's not even moving fast. #2, he's not weaving expertly. there's two other cars on the road." the driver then ends up trying to take a turn too fast, and the Eclipse being FWD, he understeers crazily and runs into a wall, flipping the car over. the driver escapes out the busted glass in the back hatch, but the cops run him down and arrest him. it was some stupid kid who had stolen the car. the narrator pissed me off though, he didn't know jack sh!t.

LOL, I can imagine if the announcer was a real car nut:

"This pissed off sounding 4 banger buzzes into action, using all 2.0 liters of displacement to attempt to outrun the police's cruizer. Using the standard fare "ricer-weave", he attempts to shake the cops, but fails miserably. The rice burner gets himself into trouble by taking a turn too fast, and due to his lack of knowledge on how front wheel drivers handle, plows into a wall, flipping his car onto the roof. Refusing to admit defeat, and unable to make a ricer fly-by, the boy-racer takes off on foot, but is quickly tackled by the boys in blue."

every narration on that show is the same, perhaps thats what makes it so funny to watch.

"this man thinks he's king of the road...but the los angeles police department thinks otherwise"

on one police chase show, they were chasing after a bike. wow. their cars couldn't keep up worth a ****. the only thing that could was their helecopter with the camera in it. they radared the guy going on average about 185. he went off the highway and was going to run a red light, then a semi went through it. ever see a guy hit a big truck on a bike going almost 200mph? wow.

Cops rarely chase fast cars, they know the cruiser wont catch up, and they know they could cause an accident too.

anyone ever see the police chase with a modded 96 impalla SS, where he was ditching the news and police helicoptors, yet alone the police cars.


I love the sound effects, guy will be driving through wet grass going 10 mph, or change lanes normally going 40 mph, and they will make tire screeching sound effects to make it more intense.

i saw the motorcycle vid, the guy runs directly into the tractor-trailer. i think he died, but i'm not sure. and they only show the old beat-up cars that barely run, or the $hitty ricers that shouldn't even attempt to run. they've been watch "the fast and the furious" WAY too many times. a sample of what THAT convo must be like:

COP: Son, what in the HELL did you think you were doing?

RICER: I was redlining my tranny, yo, but youse was granny shifting. Luckily, i had my NAWWSSS activated. it's a 25 shot.

COP: :rolls his eyes: Kid, you were lucky you didn't get hurt.

RICER: I woulda been alright, i gots mah 3A Racing neon lite-up seatbelt pad.
