  • looking at the darkside again :)

yep looking at them again... And yes I know its a contradiction of my screename

    2004 Stang GT...
    5-speed Dark shadow metallic
    Dark charcoal interior
    17 in. alloys
    AM/FM Stereo CD/MP3 with Clock

    $23,560 MSRP
    +$625 Destination charge
    -$4400 in incentives/rebates
    _________________
    $19,785
-~$6,000(all said and done with my car)
    __________________
    $13,785 me financing.

    = $263.30 a month for 60 months(5-year) with 5.5% interest(pulled number out of my ***)

Still doesn't cover tax, title, and insurance but I am not too worried about insurance going up.

I know its a GT, remember I am a v6er so its an upgrade... I kind of like the idea of getting out of f-bodies(on my 3rd) and trying something new. Don't think I am a moron I know the '03 cobra and Mach 1 are faster. Mach 1 is about $6,000 more and roughly $100 a month more in payments, so leaning away from that.

    Any thoughts? Suggestions(besides used ls1)?

well, if you didn't want to go that route or LS1, LT1 or 4g63t is the only other routes I would seriously explore.

Besides the large chunk for that car, they aren't too bad. You can make it hang with a stock mach 1 easy and the cobra(stock) is a just a bottle away.

Those Stangs are pretty fast out of the box, and can be easily made to run with the big dogs. I think you would be doing good. You still have to post here even if you get one!

Only good thing I can let myself say about GTs is their exhaust tone is just sexy.

                          Go for it Eater,

Anyone that would ostracize (sp?) you for getting a Mustang is a narrow-minded tool anyway. Crap, my Camaro is gone, but it's not stopping me from being a part of this community. Make sure you're not hanging on those 'Stang boards too much, might reduce your IQ.. ;) I kid, I kid....

You run a 14.4 in your V6 F-body with $0.00 in mods and with the new GT it will run around the same.. To me I see about 50-60 mustangs a day.. Thats too many on the street.. I like them but I love having a Firebird..
