AOL won't let me go!!!

So uhm anybody know a good excuse or a nice way to cancel my services w/ them w/out being a dick? Or should I stay...............

Remember when I said I was changing ISP well I did got Netzero 9.95 is ok w/ me now that I called to cancel Aol they're pulling all sorts of sh!t to keep me including willing to give me next month free and the rest of the year for 4.95 (no contracts)WTF? Aol is usually $23/$24 but why all of a sudden so cheap? Apparently they know what im going through and are willing to let me have their services for $5.00 as long as I don't cancel. I kinda feel bad for them since I know how it is to work telemarketing and don't want to be a dick and say NO but eventually I'll have to lay the foot down.

If anyone with AOL calls and complains, threatens to quit.. they get an awesome deal (at least for AOL).. don't believe me? Have someone else call.

I've called many times threatening to quit LOL just to see what they would do but i've never been offered net services for
$5.00, poor bastards out there are paying $24

On a side note I wonder how this company manages to stay alive at these times, I remember I was gonna work for them for $15.25 :eek: an hour mind you I had just turned 17 nice salary for a kid.

sorry Time Warner are lazy MOFO'S you see I live in the boonies and they want to pay the installation services cuz I apparently I live a lil' far from civilization which is almost $250 "but sir this is a one time installation fee" **** YOU!! plus aside from that I have the pay the monthly cost and since I don't have cable it's going to bring it up a little bit more.

Not only that but some time back. Time Warner sued the city I live in cuz they found over 1,000 people tapping their lines and stealing cable so they're kinda on the verge to vanquish their services from here, oh well

Time Warner/RR and Charter both suck balls, and since they are some of the biggest cable companies out there I have come to the conclusion that cable internet can't be done well.

nino, I don't think that deal is that bad. Cable internet install fees regularly used to be over $100. Plus, you should be able to get cable TV after that :D
Ask them if they can spread the install fee over a year in your monthly bill.

AOL is full of idiots and morons, i canceled them back in june of 1998 and they charged me for 3 months after I canceled. Then they starting sending me all this crap in the mail, and extra fee's on my credit card, i was pissed.
