  • So I think I am done with this car...

Think I am giving it up...

I know I am harsh on drivetrains and all but think I reached the limit of what I can afford. I don't like autos too much, have considered it, but ehh... not dumping $2k for a built tranny can't afford.

looks like I might just focus on keeping the car cleaner, and maybe keep autcrossing

probably going to sell a few toys off too.

Been fun guys but no plans for new times from me in a v6 f-body(not like I have had any in forever anyways ;) )

ran a 14.7@93.5, with a 2.2 60' bogging on the launch. If I had gotten the launch down, and pulled one of my 2.1-2.0 60's I think I might have squeezed a 14.5, maybe a 14.4 out of it.

with the belt off maybe 14.1-14.2, no 13s though, but thats all should of could of would of stuff, and really doesn't mean anything ;)

Going to start saving for a another car.

all great things must come to an end.

I silently gave up on modifing mine along time ago because of the money. besides, I crave power and speed that the v6 just cant give me even with all the money in the world.

true... me to in a way... I was always a little more conservative on modding this car but still took it out and had fun with it, never planned to go crazy with heads or cams. Just some bolt on fun. But looking like I won't even be doing that anymore.

example, people ask me all the time whats the best catback for a 3.8L, and they don't realize I am still running a full stock exhaust with a cutout.

I'm with you Eric. I'm finishing repairs on the car, waiting a few months to pay off my loan, and re-financing for a new car. The unreliability is killing me.

I checked out STi's, Evo 8's (trying to stay turbo), but I just couldn't get myself to like the appearance. So now I'm looking at LS1 SS's. Turns out they're quite a bit more affordable than I thought, obviously more reliable than my car, and beleive it or not get better gas mileage.

Funny thing is I am leaning against f-bodies in general.
