no really though...this little thing is fun...I bought full flexpipe back exhaust...stainless steel...brand new...for $249 shipped :cool:

I don't recall them being that cheap for fbodies when I had one, maybe I'm not remembering right.

It feels better to have something different though...even if it is such a change.

Been fun guys but no plans for new times from me in a v6 f-body(not like I have had any in forever anyways ;) )

ran a 14.7@93.5, with a 2.2 60' bogging on the launch. If I had gotten the launch down, and pulled one of my 2.1-2.0 60's I think I might have squeezed a 14.5, maybe a 14.4 out of it.

with the belt off maybe 14.1-14.2, no 13s though, but thats all should of could of would of stuff, and really doesn't mean anything ;)

highly modifying any car is nice, if you got the money. id love to just strap on some juice and go fast right now, but is it worht the potential consequeses that i cant afford to have? not really. in the future i will probably go with the ls1/6speed swap. cuz its the right thing for me. i have the resources to do the swap, and the car will be ready for it(appearance and suspension).

i just bought a truck myself, so now i can have something in the winter or i ever need another ride for some reason.

best of luck getting everything sorted out, i honestly hope you stay in the fbody game though ;) .

I understand highly modified...

but I was basically running...

-cutout on stock catback
-shaved stock lid and pvc intake
-used salad shooters with balder 235s
-hurst billet+ shifter
-stock z28 swaybars
-stock 3.42 rear from an f-body
-spec stage II clutch(replacement for first dead one)
-and some tweaking with hptuners


I mean honestly, other then the clutch, really nothing "crazy" If it was on like a 100 shot, or if I was running a drag radial or something I coudl possibly understand.

yeah but you are still faster than most of us that have more mods than you. we all know you drive hard, and then on top of that the numerous clutch problems you've had lately. maybe you tranny wasnt that strong from all of the clutch issues and hard driving. top that off with the grip of the spec 2 and your driving style it just wasnt going to last.

ehh well imo... too much money and effort put into this car, for it only having 52k miles.

not playing with pulling the tranny often. Luckily I have a spare vehicle at the moment, if I didn't, I woudl be out of a car for nearly 2 weeks, and unfortuneately cannot do that. One of the main reasons I dumped my 3.4L, with 120k.

I woudl, but when the car was running really good, I was getting new best times, it crapped out in a big way...


I'd race this car and enjoy it but cannot afford it, tried to work on a sponsor thing with spec for a discount on a spec clutch, said no even with being featured on 2 websites. (this and orlandocitybeat.com) still will autocross since I generally only do that once a month and its only really hard on my tires, not so much on the drivetrain.

imo its not worth the extra insurance to keep anothe r car on the road I woudl consider it. But money isn't there.


When I got this car I was going to try and not mod it, but wanted a few baseline runs. If the thing had just run a 15.7 instead of a 15.2, I honestly would have left it alone. jsut a few mods here and there. Nothing crazy...

im not keeping them both on the raod at the same time. my insurance said they'd take like 30 bucks off on the maro if i let it sit. so im just going to take it off the road completely in the winter.
