Ok well I washed my car yesterday and discovered my paint is peeling on my front bumper. Pontiac has already painted it like 4 times so its pretty thick. Well then last night my passenger side headlight motor totaly went out so I have a winking firebird. So it goes into the shop tomorrow to get all this fixed since my warranty expires on friday. I thought that it was pretty dang good timing for this to happen.

Wow, man, that sucks. At least your warrantee is still good for another week- just long enough to get it taken care of. Don't know what's up with your paint. Mine's silver also, and the only problem with it is the last person bumped into something, so there are crack lines under the clear coat. Alright my car has a nice long history. The first time I had it painted they were replacing the transmission because of a bearing failer right after I got it. They dropped a wrench on the hood and dented it and supposedly scratched the bumper. Well they had it painted and never told me about it. The about a year later it had a rock chip on it and I was washing it and the clear coat started coming off the hood and bumper. So I took it back to the dealer and they said go get an estimate to get it repainted. Well @ the time I was dating one of the mechanics daughter and he told me all about it being repainted cause they mentioned it when I went to go get estimates and they asked why it had been repainted I was like really has it now. Well I get them both repainted and my dad goes to pick it up and they didn't even wash it before painting it let alone sand it down. So he tells them it looks like **** and to repaint it. Well they repaint it again and I was in town to pick it up and it still looked like ****. So I take it down there again and this time the owner paints it and does it right so I take it. That is pretty much the whole story on the paint. So the paint is pretty thick. This time I'm gonna make them take the bumper off sand it down and repaint it correctly.Originally posted by 98goldbird:
