I got a real nice 500W PSU sitting here with the standard 20 pin connector for the mobo. however I need an adapter for a 24 pin 939 socket mobo. I have looked at all the parts sites and been all over ebay and cannot find what I need. ebay has a lot of 775 socket 24 pin conectors but no 939 ones. has anybody seen one? I mean come on, how did asus test this board without one lol

get a 24 pin power supply. i dont know if there is an adapter. i think 24 pins are for pentium boards and 20 are for amd, correct me if im wrong it might be vica-versa. -

i have had a couple 24pin motherboards that worked fine with a 20pin power supply. check your manual. typically though you will need to make another connection with something that looks like a p6/p7 connector.Comment

just get a refund and get a 24 pin, no big deal and no worries about it not fitting or getting an adapter.Comment

ehh I finally foung an intel adapter with the same wriring as the one I need. damn those are hard to find. unless I misread the ones I was looking at. possibility

yeah, thats gonna kick ***...i was thinking on running an SLI board with one Nvidia card and one ATI card (not in SLI obviously) but seperately, it works, i believe it was on ANANDTECH, but that would be great like if you were to play hl2, then switch over to the ATI card, if you were to play D3, then switch over to the Nvidia card [img]smile.gif[/img]2000 Navy Blue T-top Camaro A4<br />TSP Rumbler <br />Carsound Hi-flo Cat<br />!MAF screen<br />Whisper lid<br />HPP3Comment

just sucks I got to wait another week. my video card shipped today finally after 5 days of processing
now I got to wait another week. I already got 3dmark05 and am ancius(sp) to try it. but my old 1.8GHz celeron wont even run it, it keeps crashing because it is too slow [img]graemlins/rofl.gif[/img] just as well I guess, not going to see anything spectacular with a 1.8 celeron and a nvidia fx 5200 pci card lol
