I don't recall anyone eating contents of a package. But it wouldn't suprise me.
I started a few months before the holiday season and we were under staffed. It made the job that much harder.
Everyone was stressed, including the managers. That had to get the trucks loaded, and that meant cramming the packages in to get the truck on its way.
Whenever a packed fell off the conveyor belt or was dropped or damaged, they simply threw it to the side and continued with the rest of the work, figuring to fix it later.
I can't recall the amount, but the total annual cost of damaged packed at the time was HUGE. I always wondered why they didn't try to curb this enourmous expense.
