    me...
    thats right, im finally here
    ok...
i just got my 98 camaro today, only 57k miles on her!

    white, coupe with t-tops

new to this forum, but i do frequent other forums such as sound domain

now, let me share my drive home with everyone...

im almost home, only 3 miles to go... when, out of no where (i was cruisin at 50, and wheel was steady) i go into a spin... (northeast ohio, 7* out, blizzard) i did a 360, and then some...
i was just lucky no cars were around, and it was right where another road branched off... otherwise, i would have been in a ditch some where, but... i kept it on the pavement

well, that was pretty fun... once i got done ****ting my pants

anyways, just stopped in to say hey, and ill prob be posting in here a bit

and, while im posting, might as well throw out my question i have right now...

if my stereo says moncoon on it, does that mean i have the premium monsoon sound system? or do all head units say that?

    thanks a lot!

i did that once in my old 91 RS. kind of a sinking feeling when you lose control of a car.
glad to hear you and the car came through it ok.

never heard of moncoon. maybe the letters are just faded lol. the easiest way to tell if you have the monsoon is if you have speaker panels in the hatch area. or you can look up the codes inside the golve box/ on the drivers side door. go here to see what the codes are http://tech.firebirdv6.com/generalspecs.html

            heh, yea
            typo

and, the HU does say monsoon... but, ill check for speakers in the hatch tomorrow (are there speakers in the rear seats too? cause, i heard music from the back, but not sure)

i was at the dealership for 5 hours, other wise i would have already checked it out...

            thanks all!

Sounds like you need to hook up w/Gumby, being in roughly the same area.

ok, there are 2 speakers in the hatch area, behind the rear seats, appear to be 6x9's, but thats just the shape of the grill

                            plans...
                            1. get it payed for
                            2. getting some racing stripes made by my uncle (he does vinyl work and sign work)
                            3. new k&n filter, shave the stock air box lid down, do the exhaust mod with 2 90* fittings (pipe before mufler, connected to pipe after mufler)
                            4. custom box, and a DD 15
                            5. 50% tint (most allowed here in ohio i think)
hmm, what is the stock tint on them?
                            6. some nice rims
                            7. new hood
                            8. new exhaust
                            9. not sure yet
