if you have the monsoon, or like me the older version of it, you will have 2 speakers per door, one speaker behind each seat, then 4 speakers in the hatch(2 per side)
linky for speakers in hatch.

I just registered as well Picked up my bird on the 27th at 66k. Registered over new years weekend but didn't get approved 'till now , but I've been reading along. Pewter M5 coupe, monsoon, power windows/doors/locks/mirrors. I'm not sure, but I think it's actually fully loaded except for t-tops, leather, auto etc. The day after I got it, my dad gave me the rims he used to have on his '95 Z28 Convt. and they look sick :D I'll have to post some pics soon. Anyways, I had a few questions. The screen on my HU (factory, monsoon) sometimes flashes random lines, etc. I wanted to know if anyone else had this problem or if there's anything I can do other than just get an aftermarket HU and the adapter for the wheel controls. Also, what kind of modifications have you guys done to the monsoon system? I think it could use some more bass, but then I'll be blowing all my money fixing rattles. Other than that, I think it sounds good. Now that I mentioned rattles, there is this squeaky squeaky noise coming from the rear right that is driving me INSANE I mean, I can hear this thing at night when I try to sleep. I listened for it while having a friend push down on the rear and it sounds like its coming from outside of the right rear wheel well. Dunno what that could be either. I also had an interesting story (I'll shut up soon). Today while driving to work, I was in the left lane of the freeway, doing the speed limit, passing a semi truck. Suddenly he swerves over to my lane (the middle of my car is lined up with the back of his trailer) and I just barely made it out of there. it took a minute or so for the blood to get back to my head. Stupid truck drivers!

For a right rear squeak, check your jack (hidden behind the right rear panel). It will make a very annoying squeak or chirping sound if it is not installed just right or if it is slightly loose.

ok I see your first mod, ice tires ;) and yes there are 2 speakers under the cover in the back. I am not sure but I think I remember hearing that the camaro monsoon has 8 speakers and the birds have 10. in my bird the door has 2 speakers on each one, one tweater and the midrandge, same set up in the hatch, with just midranges behind the front seats.

get a cardomain up!

My dad had suggested that and I had looked there twice already and it seemed tight. I'll have to check it again. Maybe there was another part I missed. Thanks!

The squaeak used to dirve me crazy in my 3rd gen. It turned out I had one part of the jack in wrong or loose and it made this annoying sort of high pitched squeak.

Try taking out all the jack parts and the spare and then drive around for a while without it. You'll know for sure then whether that is the culprit or not.

Nice camaro! I bet you can't wait for it to stop snowing so you can clean it ;) It rained on and off for like 3 weeks since I got my bird. Finally looking great this weekend You're making me wish I went for the camaro w/ t-tops I looked at. I think it was an 02. Interior was pretty nice with white leather and it already had something done with the exhaust. I love my bird though ;) It's strange that people with so much driving time will screw up like that. But it's only the 2nd time since I started driving (17 here) I've had an incident with them. I have worse luck with old ladies.
