Yep. It's a lot cheaper and you can pick exactly what you want and how you want it. Do you build your own PC's too?

I would have built my laptop, but it prolly woulda cost more than from dell in the end.

I did build my desktop and all of its like 10-15 predecessors from the past 8 years (since like 8th grade). In fact, I just upgraded my video card the other day (swapped some stuff with a friend) with a radeon 9600 pro. Way better than that geforce4 i was running. This one has some major balls to it.

Building your own stuff is the best way to go. Usually much cheaper for what you get too. Do me a favor, go to zdnet.com and download performance test 5.XX (do a search under downloads for performance test). When you run it, post the overall results (the final rating) here cause i wanna know how i rate against a 64. Those are bad to the bone.

How did you arrive to that conclusion?

It has plenty of overclocking features (xcept memory timing)

In case anyone was waiting for the results of the test, just ran it 3 times and got the average score: 488.2 Keep in mind this is an unoptimized install with the latest drivers and WinXP SP2, no tweaks. It only gets better from here... ;)
