Good single player PC games?

Racing, action, adventure, some RPG, first person shooters(my favorite)

Is your system up to date? Even if it's a little behind, I've heard that Half-Life 2 works somewhat well on older systems if your turn down some detail options. Call of Duty owns all and has a new expansion pack out as well. Jedi Academy is a solid FPS, as are any of the Jedi-series games. Ever play the Max Payne series? You may want to try Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries (robot sim). I've been playing mostly on my Xbox and PS2, and have lost interest in my PC because it's getting out of date (that'll be fixed soon, thank God). If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. I'm sure I'm missing quite a few and others will chime in as well with their recommendations.
