• Wifi Fun

I recently got Airsnare, and I have been able to notice I have some freeloaders on my Wifi. It is WEP
protected, and I don't have a broadcasted SSID, but somehow I hve a few extra MAC address signed on. I know I can block there MAC address' at the router, but I want to have a little fun, maybe a little snooping, mostly I want to see who in my neighborhood is freeloading.

What can I do with a MAC address and a IP address?

You can constantly harass them with widows messages, if they have it turned on :D
net send <IP> <message>
or if they're on the network, since they're stealing internet, just type in their computer name.

Where did you get that program from? We just got a wireless router yesterday... I enabled WEP, maybe I need to set up the wifi protection too.

You can crack a wep with linux it has to "listen" to at least 5 gigs bc the wep rotates, and eventually uses the same protection scheme thing again and there are programs that can tell when it repeates then crack the wep.

Um.. not 2 much u can do otherwise, unless it has no wep then u can do anything u want. I got a wireless antenna on the back of my car.

i go around and print out stupid pictures on all my neighboors computers, its hilarious.

if they are using blank admin passwords you can use a remote utility to install a remote control client on their computers and then you can take complete control of their computers its VERY FUN, i setup my friends when i install their routers and such so that i can remote control their PCs from work. they will be doing something and all of a sudden their mice move all by themselves! lol

i also recommend opening your wireless accesspoint/routers management tool (usually by opening internet explorer and typing http:\\192.168.1.245) and then you can change your wep settings, the highest setting you can use would be WEP pre shared key, and then you should choose TKIP and type in a key. then it will refresh itself every 300 seconds which is way too quick for any average hacker, usual basic wep cracking takes abot 15 mins or so.

if they are XP computers then it will be hard to do much to them. anything below that might be a little easier. basically the best is just to kick them off your network, thats what I would do, but like said above, commands prompts net send IP message is pretty funny, that IS if they dont have the messenger service disabled, which lots of ppl do (especially if they are smart enough to spoof addresses and hack networks) make sure your SSID isnt default and that you arent broadcasting. also change your default passwords or they can boot you off of your own wireless hahaha.. oh and i love that printing idea, never though of it. only if they have shared printer though, but hell thats funny
