Hey man sucks about your car i feel for ya. If you can afford it more power to you, I was thinking about getting a new car for a while, so I was saving like a mofo (at home zero bills), but I also wanted a house. After giving much thought I scrapped the car idea and bought a more expensive house. My only advice is be wise about your money, Vette is taking a nice chunk from you, try and refi, and try to SAAAVVVEEE . Take Care.
What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. Swim, Swammy, Slippy, Slappy, Simmons, Sommons, Swenson, Swanson?
Maybe it\'s on the briefcase.
Oh yeah! It\'s right here, Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S though!

payments do suck man, with my no credit history they gave me 14% APR and I pay $890 a month, gotta refinance soon.
$890 a MONTH!!?!?!?!?!??!?!!?!? Are you kidding me?? That even worth it at all? I would never in my life finance a car that would cost more than a house payment. No way in hell. I kinda felt sorry for ya till you said that, now I am not sure at all.

Everyone comparing his car payment to a mortgage clearly doesn't know what its like around Ashburn. A 1000 sq ft condo will cost you around $300k easy. I wouldn't want a car payment like that, but at the same time you can't even rent an apartment by yourself around here for $890 a month.

Ditto on that. $890 a month is just a drop in the bucket in Northern VA. Mortgage payments start at $2,000 and go WAY up from there.

hey guys just got back from getting my car estimated and parts ordered, big hassle cause I was late to my appointment so I had to drive to manassas from tyson's to get it done today.
the estimate was $3595.49, they say its going to take 3 days of work. they are just replacing the bumper, the absorber, and the two headlamp assemblys, along with painting some paint chip on the bottom of the hood.
they say the frame may not be messed up at all, but they will find out once the parts come in and I take my car in on Monday, kinda sux that I have to wait that long but oh well as long as its fixed.
BTW my dad's mortgage is $3,200 and thats only for a single 5 bedroom house in Ashburn. In Great Falls I've heard of mortgages for over $6,000.

We have parts of the metro Indy area where houses are that expensive, but for the general majority of the homes in the country, mortgages are not that damned expensive. For $890 a month, I could own a 4 bedroom house in Speedway easily, and this isn't a high crime, low value area in Indianapolis.

Try living in CA  $890 a month gets you nowhere decent, as what it should be. Dont forget to add the other expensives as electricity, gas, cable, food, water, etc.

I can bring home $3K as well but only if it's full time, and I'm at $18/hr....so just curious as well, as to what it is you do. Whatever it is, congrats on the income.
