 ahh young one, someday you'll realize that GM doesnt care about us "car enthusiests" except for the corvette market. We owe them no loyalty.

To be honest, I'm thankful of that small mercy.

The rich and famous drive Ferrari's because Ferrari's make a statement - 'I've got more money than you!'

Personally, I prefer my Firebird. Particularly here in the UK, where F-bodies are rarer than Ferrari's.

When I blast (or even cruise) past people in my car, the comment 'Nice car' is often heard. Most people don't know what it is, whereas everyone knows what a Ferrari is.

GM Fever for performance cars, and the cheapest 'performance' car you can get from GM now is the GTO.

If you ever driven one, you'd know why they are worth every penny.

A sports car built where price is not a factor in engineering is a WAY better car than say a vette.

I got news for you, Ferraris are a piece of JUNK compare to the Corvette.

It's unreliable for one thing. Alot of HP but not reliable. I've heard of people complaining about replacing stuff on the engine for less than 30k. Why do you think people do their weekend warrior thing with it and drives it carefully when they do.

Second, it lacks the technology that most American sports car have.

Third, the Corvette can out perform the Ferrari in handling and braking. And most of all, it's faster than half of the Ferrari's line up.

Ferraris are Junk and overpriced, just like most so-called european supercars or exotic cars. The only supercars that are good for your money is the Corvette Z06, and the NSX.

Remind me again of what a pushrod engine is?

You've got to be kidding me...I've heard of C6's breaking with less than 1,000 miles on the clock. Gee, that's RELIABLE.

Sorry, I completely disagree with you on every single point you tried to make besides the fact that a Corvette or NSX are good for the money that they cost.

I still can't believe you said technology and American sportscar in the same sentence...hahahahha.

Beleive it or not, Ferrari is involved in racing that is way more technologically advanced than NASCAR...

                            In tech. F1>>>>>>>>>>NASCAR

                            The tech. transfers over...

Any car with high revs, a lot of cyls more than 2 valves per cylinder is more advanced than a corvette, just to start out.

Don't get me wrong, I love the vette, but come on, saying that it is better than a ferrari is just plain stupid.

Eh, ya'll are comparing Oranges to Apples. Chevy's got nuffin on Ferrari. Like saying that the Z06 can beat some Ferrari's. Sure it can. Not every car can be a 12 second car or w/e the Z06 runs. But the Z06 is Chevy's top of the line. Look at Ferrari's top of the line. The Enzo. The Enzo can spank any manufactured car in existence. No Question. Ferrari is up there with Lambourgini and Maserati. Why are ya'll even comparing the two? Super car vs Muscle car. It doesn't even make sense.

Well the discussion got to it. But to say Ferrari is better overall and calling the Vette a Junk, well I got defensive about it.

I've sat in a 2003 Modena at the LA Auto Show and drove the classic 80's GT before and it was great.

But interior wise, Corvette is better. More technology went into it. 2003 Modena looks plain to me.

                                Craftmanship, Ferrari is better.

                                Reliability, Corvette is way better.

                                Performance, Ferrari is way ahead.

                                Best gas mileage, Corvette.

Best bang for you buck, Corvette.

Rarity, definately Ferrari. Corvettes are dime a dozen.

History: Both have great sports car history.

Conclusion, you guys are only looking at how fast it can go and how rare and expensive it is. That's the only thing you are judging it and comparing it to the Vette. But comparing it to other things, the Ferrari falls short.

I tip my hat to you if you are the less than 1% of the people that could afford it. But calling a Corvette a piece of JUNK is totally wrong and I will definately argue with you on that.

Now com'on break it into category like I did and say which one takes it.
