Hey everyone :D . I've been looking at site for a few weeks, finally got approved. I'm new to the 4th gen world, but not fbodies. I have had a 2nd gen for 4 years now and am slowly restoring it. I have also just picked up a purple 1998 Firebird, 3.8l, A4 to use as a daily driver. I will probably be asking questions and defintely checking out the swap meet section. The car has a flowmaster cat back already and plans are new air intake, headers, good tune up, and some tuning down the road. I'm just shocked on how much parts are for the 4th gens -vs- my 79 so mods will be far in few in between. I have already learned a lot by just reading and doing searches and plan to learn more. Great site!!! The cars

Friend of mine found some production numbers and said there were only 290 purple birds made in 98. It needs painted though, previous owner looks to have driven it through a woods full of thickets, plenty of scratches and a couple small dents. That should be taken care of in the spring.
The 79 is my toy. I used to cruise in it with my best friend while we were seniors way back in '87. He let it sit for 4 yrs with a bad tranny and I got it from him and it's on the road to restoration. I have a subframe stripped/painted/rebuilt ready to do in it this winter, maybe paint next summer some time ( good to have neighbors in the profession). I can do almost anything on it, but these newer cars are a whole new ball of wax, but we have one of the best mechanic here in Cinci who only works on 82-2002 fbodies, 94-96 LT1 impalas, and anything that will take an LS1 or LT1. He has a 1000 hp twin turbo 2001 Vette in his garage he is tuning right now so I'm in good hands.
Thanks for the welcomes!!! :D
