I'm not going to rant or provide any explaination to this other than that a few friends and I were having a little too much fun on the mountain. No one was hurt. Let's not start any debates or get the thread closed ;)

I'm the one in the back and the other 2 are a 99 Formula and a 99 Z28 that are in my local club.

Anyone else have pics of people getting tickets?

Nice. I wish I had the balls to pull out a camera when I get pulled over :D I need a camera though. I would really like to get one with lights flashing in the rear view.

That formula looks like a firehawk :D

That sucks he tagged all 3 of you..

I got out of most of my tickets Worst ticket I got was for not stopping at a stop sign. I did a "california stop" and a cop was there waiting because of some old lady complaining about people not stopping there.

Oops Formula Firehawk That's what I meant. I also know a guy with a Mecham T/A and another with a Mecham Z29R. Really rare, nice F-Bodies . More about them here

Location is maybe about halfway up Mt Lemmon

Same here. I've probably been pulled over 5 times but only the last 2 times have I gotten tickets. This has been a bad summer for me. The other thing I noticed was I used to drive faster in my old car and all I got was warnings, but cops see a car like mine and it says "write me a ticket, please!" ;) But, the parents took away my car for a few months (even though I pay for it) so I'll enjoy not being targetted in my Mom's Taurus for a little bit. The guy in the Z28 took them. I think he actually asked the cop if he could get out and take pictures.

Man, you need to come out autocrossing when you get your bird back. I used to blaze up and down Mt. Lemmon all the time, it's good to have someplace to get the bug out.

You're right on the cars though - every police clocks us, so even in town I set my cruise to 5 over to play it safe..

Yeah, the mtn was def. better than any roller coaster. I've never experienced anything like that before and would def. be interested in autocross. The only thing I'm concerned with is all the great parts I would get to build up/replace. BTW since youre local and I think you know who's in the pic with me, I'm pretty sure the other guys wanted this to keep quiet.

The whole police thing almost wants me to just give up cars, because I know I'll just keep getting in trouble and eventually I'll go broke paying insurance.

Yeah, I saw the posts in the other forum. NP on that.

To just have some fun autocrossing, I don't think you really need to do more than get a good alignment, and maybe upgrade your front sway bar, which will keep the car more level and even out your tire wear. No need to go crazy like me

I was actually thinking about all the wear and breaks (not brakes, breaks).

Haha thx for the comment on the pics. Sucks that the one with the cop at my window didn't turn out. That's the one I wanted most. Should have it framed on my door so everytime I go out and get in the car I remember what I went through for that. And the fun I had too :D

Well, I've never broken anything on my car at an autocross. Only broke stuff on the road course where you're at full tilt for 2 hours in one day..
