• Need an opinion on a Firehawk

Im shoppin for new cars. I don't really like whats out there thats brand new. I test drove an '05 GT convertible this past saturday, and I was not impressed at all. The car is fast and all but, ehh, It didn't feel much faster than an LT1. Plus it was 40 gs and it just didn't make much sense to me to spend that much if the car isn't exactly what Im lookin for and seems like it can just now hold its own to a car that 8 years old. Not to mention, they are a dime a dozen and the stereos suck.

So, Im lookin at this Firehawk. In your opinions, do you guys think this is a reasonable price? You can't really just look up a Firehawk in KBB. Those flames they put on the hood kinda look like crap too, but its a 6 spd firehawk vert...

not really sure. I have seen owners sell the LS1's for 12K and up over on firehawk.org but a lot of them are in that price range too.

That's not a bad price for a mint 'hawk with only 13k on the clock. I say go for it, and get rid of those decals.

I'd say its reasonable, remember being a convertable really adds value.

I payed 11k for my '95 vert in 01 and got 10K for it from insurance in 03, so they hold their value quite well.

Yea... I was thinking it was a little bit steep too. Especially now that I see 95fbird just bought an '04 GTO for 24500 with only 600 miles. I just wasn't sure how well a Firehawk would hold its value.

Too steep in price. Sure its a cool brand name "Firehawk" but any LS1 with low miles will do.

Shoot, I'd go for it. Nice... I would love to have a Firehawk someday. Try to talk em down a few grand though, just for the hell of it.

Ok, maybe for you. But if a Firehawk with all its papers and such will hold its value much longer than any ol' Ls1 with low miles, than wouldn't you think it would be a better investment? Especially since regular WS6's are selling for only about 2g's less for non convertibles.

I wish I could find similar cars for sale to make a comparison, hint hint, anyone? ;)
