Oh yeah I forgot Easgle SIR I-beam connecting rods.
When your car has 190K miles on it you wont be running 13's anymore either. :D
Im not going with an electric water pump because I would wire it to ABS sensor on the right rear wheel and the only time it would come on is if i slammed on the brakes. Yeah im going to have to find a tuner in O-town, I need a custom tune with those heads. Those heads flow so well I could sc it with a cam swap and a new tune but not yet.

dont feel bad. My friend drove my vette to an astonishing 15.2.
He did white smoke the tires into second gear (turned traction control off), but it was a 15.2.

current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it
Some basic questions are how much money do you want to spend? How much power do you want? The killer in this...do you have emissions?
Let's break it down:
So far im getting a machine LT1 block - what are you getting? 4 bolt mains, bored, honed, cam bearing, freeze plugs, etc...you can run a 2 bolt main setup up to decent power, but get studs.
Federal Mogul LT1 rebuild kit - you can piece together a gasket kit cheap. I would avoid Hyperneautic? pistons. They work well, but a lean conditions will wreck havoc on them. With rings, you can gap them yourself to get a little more power.
You will need this stuff to balance your motor.
Elliot Portworks LT1-LE2 head and cam package - can't go wrong there.
Accel 36/lb injectors - you can get 30 lbs injectors that will work fine for the power you will be making.
LT4 intake - not needed, find a used LT1 intake.
Trick Flow LT1 intake elbow - I would just get a 1LE intake.
K&N intake - you mean CAI, Moroso works great.
MSD cap and rotor, MSD blaster coil, NGK plugs, Taylor plug wires - avoid this stuff and look into getting a Delteq.
GM Performance parts timing set - just get a Cloyes double roller.
Eagle crank - try to buy a crank, pistons, rods, wrist pins, spiral locks, ring kit already balanced internally.
Holley 58mm TB - you could get away with a 52 MM one.
GM Performance parts rockers - just get some cheap Comp Cam roller rockers.
Trickflow pushrods - stock 7.2" length should work.
GM performance parts waterpump - get an electric waterpump and a stock housing...just run a on wire off the ignition and power from the battery..many writeups on this and some get fancy.
Kooks LT headers - spend the money on a good set of Hooker Long Tubes that are Jet Hot coated. For the cost of Kooks, you can get the headers coated and a y-pipe. Kook's are for guys that have huge heads, like myself. My exhaust ports flow more than alot of people's intake ports(239@.600", 251@.700"). You don't need Kook's...seriously.
off-road Y-pipe - see above.
Borla - nothing wrong with that.
This is going to be fun! - damn right.
Now what about the other things your forgetting?
AFPR. Fuel pump. What oil pump? This an auto or M6 car? You want to pass tech?
Suspension? Drivetrain?
Rather than build your motor...I see guys selling 400 rwhp motors for very little all the time.
I have done a boat load to my 96 Z28...and few things I have done I thought were awesome. #1 on the list...an after market k-member. If I did it again...this would have been my first suspension mod the first time the motor came out. Guys will be talking about how hard it is to work on their cars...you will be like what are they talking about.
Save yourself a lot time and money buy properly planning your build based upon your rwhp/ET goals and be realistic.
Good to see more people enjoying LT1's vs dogging them.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
