Here's after new paint. It took 13 cans of Wal Mart special blue spray paint to do 3 coats

And now finished: New paint, custom removable fender brackets, new aluminum diamondplate fenders, custom bed extensions, 2 coats of Herculiner on the bed, new wheels & 2500lb tires.

nice work. good trailers like that bring decent money around here. I could find a good home for it if you want to part with it.

The fenders were $136/ea. I paid $1700 for the trailer in November, $400 for the tires & wheels, $20 in paint, $70 in Herculiner & supplies, and about $100 in steel for the bed extensions. All in all I have about $2600 into it. A brand new 10klb trailer w/ stationary fenders goes for $3200 or so.

Mine's not a TRUE 10klb because the axles are rated at 3500lbs each, but I have 10klbs in tire capacity, so I'm not too terribly concerned. I only tow 8000lbs with it, and figuring a 15% tongue weight on the truck, I'm right at 6500 axle weight on the trailer.
