Stage 5 is a serious storm. I felt the 150 mph wind with the artificial wind from a turbine and let me tell you that blew my tug and myself down to the ground.
    good thing it's a 4 then.

It weakens as it works its way inward, it won't be category 5 very far inland. Coast is gonna be hit hard, if you are in an evacuation zone, you should get the feck out.

As for evacuating, gas stations are out of gas, all the major highways are parking lots, and all the hotels in relatively close "safe" places are packed. I don't feel like getting stuck like 4 hours north of me, with no hotel, no gas, and nothing but my car. I have pretty much a bunker to go to if I woudl like, 3/4s a mile from my house, I am going to watch, haven't made my descision yet if I am going to there, or stay home which is bunkered up pretty well(might take pics later)

If you have a small hole with a leak, you can fix it with ease, let it go like a week or so, and your place an all your stuff is fecked.

no we didn't get it inspected. visually nothing is wrong w/ it. we didn't even lose any shingles and our little baby tree was still standing out front. (most of our neighbors uprooted and tipped over) the first strom blew by really quick and i feel the house should still be very safe for the next storm. by the time it hits us it will weaken to either a cat 2 or 1. i think our biggest concern will be the rain and of course being w/o power again for days. :(

I'd take a huge *** earthquake over a hurricane anyday. Depending on how big it is, how long it lasts... it's still gonna **** up everything, but it will be all over in a couple minutes. As to where a hurricane is gonna be there for ****ing hours. No thank you, good luck to all in Florida.

I think Mother Nature saw those commercials for Disney World and decided she needed to send her two kids Charley and Frances for some fun in the sun.

I think Frances needs a man, seriously.

C'mon now, there are plenty of single guys and there are plenty of them on this board that would give you a good time in bed, Frances. You don't have to go destroying towns and stuff. That's just immature.

I don't want a countdown to my doom either. I'd rather die quickly than be waiting around to die.
