I'm talking in terms of numbers. I'm not looking at any offical numbers or such, but I mean from driving around town. there has to be atleast 3-5 times as many camaro's than there are firebirds around here. I can quite litterally go days without seeing another firebird.
yeah i will have to agree with you. Camaro's are better than firebirds. :D But really i do see mre camaros than firebirds here too. My town must have good taste.

More chicks drive camaros, and most of the people who drive camaros don't even know about their brother the firebird. Camaros are like mustangs, in which every thinks they need to have one to be "cool." ;)

Pontiac is more upscale and more oriented toward performance. Back in the days of first and second gens the Firebird and Camaro were actually different cars and it was well-known that the Firebird/Trans Am could blow the doors off the Camaro. Today the differences are cosmetic but they are still there. Camaros look cheaper and flimsier, hence they sell for less.
My take is, why settle for a Camaro when you can spend $1000-ish more and get a Firebird--a much nicer car?
I never understood why people ever bought Camaros.
I always see Camaros... but where I live sometimes its days before I see either a Camaro or a Bird.

I see more BIRDS than Camaros where i live. I can go on a half-hour cruise and pass at least 20 mustangs, and most times not see another Camaro or Bird. Never see many of either for the most part....
camaro's are much more common. much less of a chance of comming accross one that has work done to it too. Ive always loved the birds. But it all has to do with your taste in styling.

Yeah here its Rice > mustangs > camaro > firebird
Even with all the traffic here, I don't see many other birds. Its a shame really. But it makes me feel like a drive something rare though so I'm happy with that lol.

Camaros were ALWAYS made with less options in them so that they were lighter than Firebirds, hence, performing slightly better. Trans Ams are overweight and bulked out with options and luxury items, which is ok if your looking for that type of car. If your looking for Performance, though, an SS Camaro is the way to go. People that race do not care about fancy items in their car. They want it as light and quick as possible from the factory. As for looks, it's all subjective, so to say the "firebird is a much nicer looking car" is your opinion. Personally, I wouldn't trade my Camaro for a Firebird, EVER. The Camaro was always considered the poor man's "Vette" and has always had a more established name. No one has ever said to me...."is that a Firebird your driving??" But I can guarantee it's been the other way around for many Firebird owners.. ;)
the camaro and firebird have ALWAYS been the same car, mechanically speaking. the only differences were the body panels (which still looked similar) and option packages.
insurance wise Firebirds are more expensive than Camaros because of the cost of all their body parts I learned that doing shopping for my 4th gen ;)
Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
