• I'm hoping I'll have my bird back for 2006?!?!?!

At this rate………. I will NEVER see my bird again…… maybe by 2006????

So, I had a custom made SS 4000 converter FOR A V6!!!! I spoke with the tech department at Yank 3 frigin times BEFORE ordering!

My last converter, ProYank 3200, was custom made to my spec’s so I am NOT A NEW customer to Yank!!!! They have my information on file!

I think we are pushing 3+ weeks now?!?!?!!?

My alleged SS4000 FOR A V6 arrived at TTP LAST FRIDAY. They went to install it TODAY… and it was too big?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?

You have NO idea how mad I am!

Spoke with Matt, owner of TTP…..

Contacted Yank, the guy who answered the phone told me I probably ordered it wrong online…… I’m like NO PIG F*CKER!!!! Would I, the BIGGEST token V6 guy EVER, mistake my car for a V8?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

He looked…. Found that the owner of Yank made my ProYank 3200.

He claims I ordered the SS4000 for the 1993-1997 style f body. He told me his department assumed it was an LT1?!?!?!?!!

I told him, THREE calls to the tech department…. I provided all the names of the people I spoke with?!?!?!?!!? He was like…. Um..uh…. I ummmmm…..

I did not rip into him, I remained calm.

He then claimed that the v6’s aren’t that fast so I might not get that quick….. I’m like……. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I then explained a bit about my car mentioning ET’s, MPH’s 60’s RWHP and RWTQ.

First thing he says, have you ever dynoed it? I went quite………. I then said, I just told you my #’s…. I then explained that my v6 is……. Quite quick compared to the other v6 3800 series 2’s All the info and spec’s I provided to the guy seemed to go in one ear and out the other?!?!?!?!

I provided my UPS tracking # for the SS4000 which is on its way back NOW to Yank.

Monday morning I will be able to speak with the owner of Yank…. And their tech department. So…… no firebird for oh…. Another 1-2 weeks?!?!?!?!

And…… adding the 410’s was a nightmare too!!!!!

I’m sooooo f*cking pissed right now!

Why don't you go to edge converters? I love mine. The guy at edge was VERY helpful when they built my converter.

Pro edge sounds like what you want, their all out race converter...and they have a V6 listing right on the site.

"Pro Edge" - Configured for your specific combination. 2200 to 6000+ You decide! For super charger, multi stage nitrous, trans brake and high torque track applications.

V6 - $640.00 with all lock up upgrades or configured as a non lock

http://www.edgeracingconverters.com/streetedge.htm <--thats the one in my car, I LOVE it.

Maybe consider going elsewhere... I hate companies that pull the whole its a v6 it won't work crap...

I remember walking into a shop with my car asking if they woudl put a Centerforce clutch on my v6, guy says why would you want to put a clutch like that in a v6, so I say, "Your right, why woudl I? Guess I won't be doing it here."

YANK SUCKS. They pulled that sh*t with me and didn't return my calls or want to give me a refund for their crap converter. Same EXACT THING (that happened to you) happened to me with Coan too. These companies have no allegiance to anyone. They just slap some sh*t together and send it out as quickly as possible so they can get paid. My suggestion would be to put the other converter back in (if you still have it). That worked the best for you.

If you stick with your original plan, I'd suggest that they cover your shipping costs for their error.

                        Edge?!?!?!?!?!?!

Edge has turned out.... CRAP in my opinion. I have not been impressed with ANY edge converter on this site.

I do apprecviate the suggestion though.

The ProYank got me 0.7 quicker in the 1/4.... That is why I want to continue with them.

I will speak with them mondau morning and update this thread.

That .4 I gained must have been magic moving me down the track, but then again you have a ton more mods than I do.

                          To each his own. ;)

That really is a horrible customer service. It really is none of their business about what your V6 can do.
