so would it be wrong for a 18yr old to date a 26yr??? Theres this girl I work with and we really get along and always flirt can such...the hole age gap is kinda whats keeping me from asking her to hang out more and possibly date

Age is just a number. Many people know me on this board, and know that I definitely do not act like a normal 20 year old. With that, if I were to date someone my age or younger i wouldn't be happy because my views on life would be different. If i could find someone my age.. that is in the same spot in life i am, then that would be different. If i were single right now, i probably wouldn't date anyone under the age of 24. But yet, i've never dated anyone less than 3 years older than me. I'm not about partying, humpin, and screwing up my life. I have a good job, i live on my own, and have the things i need and some of the things i want.

It's all about the people, and their maturity. I see nothing wrong with age gaps at all.

Alright, let me give a little bit more background on my friend's situation.

If his parents found out, they'd kill him. Her parents found out, the dad wanted to murder him and told her to tell him if he vanishes he'll forget about it. He still goes over to this girl's house at 1AM to take her to a random place to tap it. This girl does NOT have any maturity, considering the fact that I *tried* to see this as an okay thing and went on a double-date. Her mindset is clearly adolescent. No respect for anything, simply put, she likes sex and getting wasted. That's fine and dandy, but my friend and I are in a fight because he thinks I can't accept that she's mature enough. How is this mature? He also finds it funny and brags about how he's tapping a 15 year old, and now he's saying he's in love with her.

Maybe I just don't get it...I feel that age gap below 18 causes a real problem, because experience really starts happening when you turn 18 and make your way upwards to 25. You learn many types of things, many of which you have taken for granted as you were growing up.

This situation is really starting to bother me because he's ruining a friendship over some illegal action.

I'd tap anything above the legal limit. I think it should be set like this:

If you're under 21, you should be able to f*ck girls starting from 16, if you're 21 and over, you should only be able to f*ck girls 18 and over.
