Age gap with dating...?

My personal point of view on this is that 1-2 years is acceptable, before hitting the magical 21. After 21, anything is fair game (and is legal), even though I look down on old men dating girls still in college. My current girlfriend is exactly one year younger than me (same bday!), so don't think I'm the guilty one when I explain what's next, lol.

Now, why this came about. A close friend and I constantly bicker about things, one of them questioning his maturity yet he tells me to grow up. He is 22 and he's dating a girl who is a family friend's daughter, who is 15. He also tells me the excuse "I just dont understand" or "I'm in love with her" then tries changing the subject on things.

Am I just so strict on age-gap moral that I can't see past it? Or am I right for thinking that he is just sick in the head for doing this.

I feel about the same way really. I have a 3 year rule personally. younger or older by 3 years and beyond that, I'm just not interested. Mainly because I think much older or younger and theres not enough to have in common to base a realtionship on.

As for that guy. 22 going with a 15 year old is not only illegal if they wanna do the nasty but why the hell would you wanna go out with someone that much younger then you. Thats quite a gap in age as shes in high school and hes old enough to be almost done wtih college lol

A friend told me to divide your age by 2, then add 7. That is the age of the youngest person you should date. Works ok, to a point. Another friend of mine just turned 19, and is dating someone who is almost 16. [img]graemlins/stickpoke.gif[/img] And he wonders why he has to put up with so much bull****.

My personal opinion, try to date someone close to your age group (within abut 3 years) But there is always that special someone that it doesn't matter what age he/she is. [img]graemlins/love.gif[/img]
