If you were a private idividual, and was selling something on ebay. What do you do when your auction ends?

Do you normally contact the buyer via email?
At leat check your email for futher payment questions?

I won an auction, and I sent out an email with some questions regarding payment, and I get no answer. That is really not making me confortable sending out a check with no recource to somebody that wont even return my email.

I just hope it is because its a holiday weekend and he is gone. But then why would you choose to put up an auction to end when you are gone.

    Im frustrated.

Most people email me, once the bid is over with instructions.

Pewter, hit me an email. I've been on eBay ever since it first started, and I pretty much know all the ins and outs. Been involved in a few criminal cases as well regarding fraud and whatnot.

Is this about the body kit auction you just won? If it makes you feel any better, that guy has 100% feedback. (although sometimes that don't mean anything). I wouldn't make/send a payment till he responds 1st. Sometimes people run into situations where they can't get to a computer cause of work or other circumstances. Goodluck

I've been using eBay to buy and sell for several years now, and I'm just turning eighteen.

When I sell, I always send a very detailed description to my buyer's outlining payment, shipping, etc., just to make them feel comfortable.

Though I've never been called, I even list my phone number as a security blanket.

There are some sellers who are just not very good with dealing with people, and there haev been times when I have not once gotten an email at all during the entire transaction. I was not happy about this at all.

I feel business is a very customer oriented thing, and should be dealt with as friendly and often as possible.

But nothing bugs me more when peopel don't leave me feedback back. I leave feedback for everyone, yet 90% don't even do a thing for me. Irritating.

What are some ways I can pay him, but have recource if my item doesn't show up.

I have offered to mail him a check for the shipping,
and said I will COD the rest.

In his description he said only casheirs checks/Money orders. But COD is safer for both.

I was going to send him the check anyway, even if he refused COD, but the fact that he hasnt responded to any of my emails over 3 days is not helping.

            What do I do?

I have his phone number. Would that freak him out. I don't want to come off as a stalker.

I would call right now and see what's going on. Don't send him a "personal" check.

don't send a check, send a money order, after you get word from him. I have called up seller numerous of times just to see if they "exist" and whatnot. It's just all part of the "eBay world." If he doesn't send you an email in a couple of days, then call him, and find out whats up. You never send money unless you know that person exists and that is their real name and real address. Use money orders, cuz they're trackable.

I gave him a call, and he had a family issue this weekend. I think it all is gonna work out. We agree to figure it all out after the holiday weekend.
