He is soooo cute! I want him! I've had my beautiful orange tabby for 9 years now and he is my baby. I tell him all the time that he's "the best wil boy in da whole entire world". And he says..."Meow" or "I know". Give that little sweetie attention and love and he won't leave your side... congrats, you have yourself a furry little child that will love you back.

Oh yeah, don't forget to get him vaccinated for everything... distemper, rabies, feline lukemia, etc.. is he going to be an indoor/outdoor cat or strictly indoor only?

He will be strictly indoor, I may let him out on the balcony once in awhile, but I am 3rd floor and I dont trust him enough to let him have free run
I am taking him in shortly to get him neutered (6 months is the age I think?) he's coming up on 4 so were getting close

Feline lukemia vacinations won't be needed then. I had a scare once where my cat tested positive but was re-tested and didn't have it. It's fatal and they catch it from other cats. They can also catch feline aids. My cat is an indoor/outdoor cat. He goes potty outside except sometimes in the winter when I have his box setup in the bathroom. Going to the bathroom outside is great cuz they bury it and there's nothing to clean up! Be careful letting him out on the balcony. Cats can jump and sometimes fall if they misjudge. He might get curious and want to jump on the railing. Mine was so excited to go "night night" with me the other night that he raced up the stairs into the bedroom and dove onto the bed wacking his chest/leg on the side of the mattress at full speed. I thought I was gonna have to take him to the vet. Get him some toys too.. kittens like that. Sometimes I'll say "where's your ball!" and mine gets excited to play. He use to get the spongy ball that I'd throw down the stairs and bring it back to me and I'd give him a treat. Now he's getting older, so I'm the one who ends up getting it half the time... my 3 kittens are too hyper. my mom has pants in the house and big pots. and they started digging in the dirt. so i had to go get some rocks and cover up the dirt. now they take out the rocks and play with them. also, all mine like those little red/pink darts. ya know, ya get them wet and they stick to the TV and stuff. tie them on a string and see if he likes it. mine chase it around for hours.

mine too are only inside. but ive taken the one out to get the mail with me a couple of times.

they love to watch the cars go by so i got a maybe, 12inch by 12inch piece of wood. and a L shaped braket and put it right under one of the windows. they love it. they watch the cars, tree's birds. ect. just some toughts.

our kittens kinda look alot alike.

Congrats. If you get in the habit of doing the brushing/nail clipping/rides in the car now [and consistently], he'll be really easy to deal with.

I brush mine once a week.
Clip his nails once every 2 weeks.
[both of these are easier with the help of a friend]
Take him in the car twice a month just to look around out the window.

Hope you can make it work out with the claws/scratching. Again, these first few months will go a long way to developing habitual behavior.
I got around that by adopting a retired show cat. [he's only 2]
I can take him anywhere in the car, and he actually likes it.

yeah, I will take him to the vet and see what they suggest in the way of shots
Whenever we go outside on the balcony I am out there with him, I don't let him have free roam
and as for the toys...
I buy him toys, and he'll either hide them never to be seen again or will chew them into pieces! He can play with a ball for hours though

I dont think he had ever seen a dog before cuz as soon as he seen him he raised his fur and tail straight up and started to pull them claws out lol

yeah I need to get a brush, he doesnt shed yet, but I want to get him used to it
everytime I clip my nails I clip his, and for the most part he doesnt fight it, and if he does I just thump his nose lol
I have got on him enough about scratching stuff (anytime I would catch him, I would swat him and take him over to the scratching post and put his paws on it) now whenver I yell his name he runs directly to the post and scratches it a few times then hides somewhere lol
even if I am not yelling at him for scratching stuff, he will still give the post a few scratches before running away

• im glad the two of you are getting along well. break him of the bad habits while he's young, or it will be much harder later.

our male loves car rides.... so long as the AC is turned on. You try to turn it off he throws a fit, but as soon as you hit the button his nose twitches as he smells it, then lays on the center console and is a good kitty once again.

• my kittens wont use the scratching post, so i said forget it and just let them use the one peice of wall by the stairs. my parents dont really care.

i cut a peice of thick blanket and nailed it to the board. the oldest cat waits at the door every time i leave the house. im so scared she's going to get out. im surprised she didnt yet.

when we first got them the dog barked a few times, the kittens hissed and the dog walked away. after about 3-4 days they got along. they take naps on the dogs back and everything.

• I just got two little kittens about 2 weeks ago. 8 week old male (gray with white stripes) and 10 week old female (black with white feet/belly/chest and nose). They're awesome, I'm enjoying them a lot as I'm sure you're enjoying yours. The male more than doubled in size in his first week with me  , she's still tiny. Taking them to the Vet for the first time today
