You know whats kinda funny. I rumor has it that Mazdas next version of the RX8 is going to have an electric assisted turbo, to compensate for turbo lag.

This is something that Honeywell and another company were testing a few years ago to put on big turbo diesel truck engines. It is much more complicated that this one that the guy is selling on eBay. It used quite a bit of engine information in order to calculate the best fan speed and was specifically made to eliminate turbo lag. I don't know whatever happened with the project though.
