Knight Rider is finally out on DVD! WOO HOO!!!

I'm surprised that no one mentioned this yet: Knight Rider is finally out on DVD! It was released on Tuesday.

The box set contains 3 double-sided DVD's and a special bonus DVD containing the Knight Rider 2000 movie and special features.

The entire first season is in the DVD set. The total playing time is 19+ HOURS!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: (me after watching 3 hours so far!)

I think I will overdose on Knight Rider this weekend. :D I can blame KITT for turning me into a car nut from age 12 onwards.

I mean how in the hell can 4 Army Trained killers manage to always shoot out the tires on other vehicles when they're in a van that's doing 60MPH on 2 wheels with 1 flat, but seem unable to put bullet number 1 into a bad guy at 10 paces when armed with semi-automatic rifles?

Oh yah, Knight Rider kicks a**! Though I would see if you could get a refund for having to watch the Knight Rider movie...

Yes, I love that show!! This is the show that made me a Firebird fan. I'm still hoping to own one someday.

DAMN STRAIGHT. My copy are on the way here! I know that since I am only 17 I don't have much to say but since I was 7 and was watching the reruns on USA and taping them on VHS I have been a Knight Rider FENATIC! I have seen 2 completely restored KITT cars, I still occationally talk to one of the owners named Rick. He let me drive his KITT the day I got my license. There was no doubt in my mind once I watched that show that I would have my own KITT in the driveway. And now in my eyes I DO!

Ummmm actually it was a 1982 and 83 Firebird. Both Knight Rider and Rockford used baseline Firebirds, not the Trans Am models...

I can't speak for the Rockford Files but Knight Rider did in fact use a Trans Am. In the official Knight Rider Book (Knight Rider Legacy), Glenn A. Larson explains that GM donated 32 brand new '82 Pontiac Trans Ams.

According to www.markscustomkits.com , Some of the actual cars, not all of them, got upgraded suspension, crate chevy 350 (to do high speed, high jumps and other stunts), and no smog device whatsoever.

All of them are registered under Universal Studio. Once in a while they would put them up for auctions and the money goes to charity.

David H. has one of the original KITT but according to him, it's not running. He said, he plans on making a movie. But if he's going to use an F-body is not known. He's currently looking for producers or sponsors. I got this info. from Knights of the Round Table.

I went to Circuit City today and bought the Knight Rider DVD...Guess what else they had, the entire first season of the A-Team on DVD :D
