My friend bought a JL W7 a few weeks ago for pretty cheap. The guy sent him a tracking number with the date December 31st 1967 HaHa. My friend ended up getting his money back and that guy has a warrant for him.

never mind, a friend of mine said that my friend andy bought a 2001 yzy R1 on ebay for $2500 and that it's getting shipped from london.
Then i called andy, and he said he is doing some straight trade thing or something like that and they hold the money till he gets the bike. So, we'll see what happens.
I hope he doesn't get screwed.

The question is who is the "they" that's holding the money.
There are reputable escrow companies that do this properly, but there are ways the scammers work, such as using a money transfer company like Western Union so it looks to the victim like the money is being held but it's not. I hope it works out for him, but I'd never buy something from overseas on ebay unless I was _very_ sure about the escrow company.

He's getting screwed. My friend found this exact same thing two years ago and I highly doubt its a coincidence. YZF-R1 for $2500 bucks in London. I gave him a :slap: when he was thinking about going through with it. He was convinced later on when he found the pictures were taken off a website.
Not an ebay scam but my dad got an email from some guy in the UK that was an "aspiring" artist and he's selling the paintings in the US and was looking for someone to cash the checks (he said you couldn't cash US checks there) and send the money there. Well the stupid **** sent him his a photocopy of his DL, bank account information, SSN. He got all $5k in his bank account gone in a week. Idiot.

Link doesn't work anymore. But I think I got the point.
Believe it or not, I knew a guy once who's selling his '96 Viper for 10K even. It has 46,000 miles on it and he wants it for that much only.
I didn't take him seriously but eventually he did sell the car for that much. I thought he had engine problem or something but no it had none of that. He just wants to get rid of it.
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
